Hi, this is Alizah from Mosalingua. Today I’d like to talk to you about how to improve your speaking skills incredibly in the comfort of your own home thanks to the use of language tandems.
It is really important that you practice the language orally so that you can get comfortable speaking it. It doesn’t do you any good if you only know a language on paper. The truth is that speaking a language is a skill, which means the more you practice, the more you get better at it.
In the past, it was very hard to learn a language and oftentimes people had to travel or move abroad just to progress in their language skills, but nowadays with the use of the internet all you need is a little motivation and a computer in order to become fluent in the language.
How can you practice? Just use one of the many language exchange websites, which are great tools in order to build relationships with people and meet a native speaker in your intended language. You can find both tutors on these websites as well as those who are willing to speak to you in their native tongue in exchange for you speaking to them in your native language, which is why we call it a language tandem.
Using these sites is extremely easy all you have to do is 1) pick a person who is willing to teach you their native language in exchange for them teaching you there’s or someone who wants to tutor you 2) make weekly appointments with him or her and 3) repeat step two until your achieve fluency.
