Hi there this is Alizah from MosaLingua today I’d like to talk to you about how to fit practicing a language into your day-to-day life even if you’re extremely busy. Finding the time to practice a language in your day-to-day life is often the hardest part about achieving fluency.
With our extremely busy work and life schedules and a seemingly endless list of things to do, practicing a language can go to the way side. In order to achieve fluency, you need to practice every single day in order to retain what you’ve learned however, the good news is that you don’t have to practice for hours on end.
There’s a famous quote attributed to Confucius that says the journey of a thousand miles starts with just a single step and that’s really true. Even such little steps as finding 5-10 minutes out of your day in order to study a language will have a huge impact in the long run so how do you find these five to ten minutes in your day, well we don’t really think about it, but everyone’s lives has plenty of time that we just kind of waste away during our downtime and that’s the perfect opportunity in order to progress your language skills it’s also a good idea to replace some of the 32 things you do in your native language in the language you’re trying to learn for instance read the news in your target language or watch your favorite movie with subtitles.
It’s the little things that really count up to make a really big difference taking the time to practice here and there will allow you to progress rapidly trust me.
